NOTICE OF CONTRACT AWARD:
CYPRES-2 1-Pin MIL 1500' 35m/s Abs w/LTM - The Cypres 2 1-Pin is required by the Government. The Air Force Approved for Use List mandates the use of the Cypres 2 1- Pin manufactured by SSK Military Industries. The Cypres 2 1-Pin is a safety mechanism that automatically releases the parachute, in the event that the jumper is unable to pull their parachute. Deviation from this specific item would jeopardize the safety of jumpers, as other items have not been tested and vetted by the Air Force to meet established safety standards. Based on this information, maintenance of the unit is critical to ensure proper functioning and safety. At this time, SSK is only authorized party to ensure the integrity and warranty of the items. Therefore, it was determined that with the consideration of the organization's critical mission and minimum needs there is reasonable basis to conclude that the unique maintenance capabilities available from SSK is applicable under the authority and application of FAR 13.106-1(b). - Documents :
