- Request for proposals are invited for Consecutive English to Farsi and Vice-Versa Interpreter Consultant - Global FHI 360 requires the services of a highly skilled Translator/Interpreter Consultant who can remotely provide consecutive interpretation services from English to Farsi and vice-versa to a group of online virtual class/workshop participants on environmental issues. The translator/interpreter will work remotely with a technical team on the subject and provide consecutive interpretation. The consultant must be native Farsi speaker, well versed in English language, and also have a strong experience, in particular consecutive interpretation in workshops and online classes settings. Specific Tasks and Responsibilities: Provide up to two hours of consecutive interpretation for workshop dry run; Provide up to seven hours of consecutive interpretation during the online workshop; Provide up to 30 hours of consecutive interpretation from English to Farsi and vice-versa for post workshop activities. Qualifications At least an Associate Degree or its International Equivalent, in relevant field such as Social Science or English language is required; Bachelor-s is strongly preferred; At least 4 years of professional work experience in translation/interpretation, in particular English to Farsi consecutive interpretation; Prior experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), is preferred; Sensitivity to cultural diversity and understanding of the contextual issues; Must be native Farsi speaker and fluent in verbal and written English is required.
