Argonne National Laboratory is seeking (2) High-Energy High-Resolution High-Throughput Germanium Detectors for Energy Dispersive X-ray Diffraction at the APS.

Sensor material: High-purity germanium Sensor thickness: 10mm Active area: 200 mm2 CMOS/ASIC preamp (e.g., XGLab Cube) with pulsed feedback and cooled input stage Energy resolution: FWHM ≤ 275 eV at 5.9 keV with input count rate of 1 Mcps FWHM ≤ 140 eV at 5.9 keV at low count rates FWHM ≤ 375 eV at 60 keV at low count rates Energy range: 2 - 200 keV Entrance Window: Be (thickness = 0.3 mm) Operated in all orientation (e.g., vertical or horizontal) Electrically refrigerated cryostat with internal fans Endcap diameter Deliverables
High-resolution, high-throughput germanium detector with electrically refrigerated cryostat 3-meter cable set (1 power supply - 2 signal - 1 HV). Cryocooler power supply and interface cable.
