DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Rock Island Contracting Center, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager, Maneuver Ammunition Systems, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, 07806-5000 is seeking possible sources for the production of 120mm M1002 and M865A1 Tank Training Cartridges, potential initial production of the 120mm M1002 AMP Trainer (AT) Cartridge, and refurbishment of M1002 and M865A1 containers from inventory. This 120mm Tank Training Ammunition will be used to fill FY27-FY32 Army requirements. The projected rate of production for the M1002 Training Cartridges is 35,000 per year. The projected rate of production for the M865A1 Training Cartridges is up to 60,000 per year.
SPECIFICATIONS: The M1002, M865A1, and M1002 AT cartridges shall be manufactured to a U.S. owned Technical Data Package (TDP). TDP-s are Marked Distribution Statement D: Distribution authorized to the Department of Defense and U.S. DoD and U.S. DoD Contractors Only. The TDP for M1002 AT is currently under development and not available at this time.
PLANNED ACQUISITION: The Government contemplates an award of a five (5) year Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Contract. It is anticipated that dual awards will be made. Subject to approval, competition will be limited to U.S. and Canadian sources.
