Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) and negotiate a contract on a sole-source basis with General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS), Pittsfield, Massachusetts for the following efforts. This support shall include engineering and technical support for all SSP sponsored Special Projects requirements.
The following provides detail of required support:
Specialized Tactical Engineering Services, Fire Control sub-system development and upgrade efforts to develop, mature and coordinate interfaces between fire control, missile, and ship systems. Provide trade space analysis of Fire Control Subsystems (FCS) solutions and related support equipment in support of a new development weapons system. Provide specialized Engineering Services, Logistics Services, and Combat Control System (CCS) services to assess designs and engineering calculations for alignment of nuclear surety requirements on the CCS and related support equipment in support of a nuclear capable weapon system development. Research in the application of technologies to support obsolescence mitigation for new development nuclear weapon systems to include system requirements definition and concept development. Research in the application of technologies to support the future Fire Control requirements for the Technical Maturation and Risk Reduction effort, to include development and associated production efforts toward future deployable technologies. The development and testing of revisions to the currently deployed FCS tactical, training, auxiliary, and support software and hardware which will meet the requirements of the new development. This effort shall include development of updates to tactical, training, auxiliary, and support software and hardware.
