Title : 22-10222 - Office of AIDS Synchronous Training
Description : The California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Office of AIDS (OA), is soliciting proposals from proposers that are able to develop, implement, and maintain training needed to equip human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) test counselors to successfully conduct tests waived under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1998 (CLIA) for HIV, hepatitis C virus (HCV), and/or sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Training will consist of synchronous, live, remote and/or in-person sessions to assess and certify HIV test counselors' demonstration of HIV, HCV, and/or STI test kit proficiency, fingerstick proficiency, appropriate client counseling and referrals, etc. The awardee of this agreement will work directly with the most responsive proposers of the RFP for asynchronous, web-based training modules for HIV, HCV, and STI training agent.OA intends to make at least three regional contracts based upon the following geographical areas (proposer may submit one (1) proposal per region):Proposals must address all services described in Exhibit A - Scope of Work.Office of AIDS DGS ExemptionThe 2021 Enacted Budget (Budget Act) AB 128 Chapter 21 states:The Office of AIDS in the State Department of Public Health, in allocating and processing contracts and grants, shall comply with the same requirements that are established for contracts and grants for other public health programs.
