- New Braunfels Utilities (“NBU”) is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced consulting and management firms specializing in the development, evaluation, financial review, contract review and analysis of Request for Proposals (“RFP”) for electrical energy generation. The successful respondent will help NBU draft an RFP for energy produced from thermal energy resources located within the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (“ERCOT”) Transmission System, assist in the complete evaluation of responses, and advise recommended terms for negotiation. The proposed solicitation for which NBU is seeking assistance would include assessing various thermal energy contract options, such as Power Purchase Agreements (“PPA”), tolling agreements, self-build projects, and lease-to-own arrangements, to determine the best fit for NBU-s needs.
