Description:
The Purpose Of This Section Of The Request For Proposal (rfp) Is To Familiarize Prospective Proposers With Augusta, Georgia (county), Its Current Mandatory Waste Collection Services Being Offered By The County. The County Waste Collection Service Area (service Area) Is Roughly 308 Square Miles. The Services Presently Divided In Three Zones (zones 1, 2 & 3) Served By Two Primary Waste Haulers. Each Primary Waste Hauler Utilizing One Local Small Business Hauler Services As Required By The Contract Condition Of Local Small Business Opportunity Program (lsbop) 25% Participation. Zone One (zone-1) Service Area Primarily Is County Urban Area And Consists Of Roughly 30,000 Waste Pickup Service Locations (residential Accounts). Zone Two (zone-2) & Zone Three (zone-3) Service Area Primarily Is County Suburban Area And Consists Of Roughly 34,600 Waste Pickup Service Locations (residential Accounts). The County Waste Hauling Current Contract Is In Transition Period Ending July 31, 2025.
