Description
Project Location - Work will be performed on the Three Cent Project area within the Whitman Ranger District of Wallow-Whitman National Forest.
The intent of this RFQ is to provide a complete landscape burn module consisting of a type 2 Burn Boss (RXB2) andcomplete prescribed burn complement, 5-person hand crew module(s), type 6 engine(s), type 2 tender(s), and a type 3dozer with transport to assist with prescribed burning. Prescribed burn services may include implementing a governmentfurnished burn plan with the entire burn crew, providing specific modules and/or equipment, and operational duties suchas fire line construction and/or maintenance, hand fire line construction, fuels pullback, skidgeon,brushing/lopping/scattering/pruning, ignition, holding/suppression, mop-up and patrol. The Contracting Officer-sRepresentative or Inspector (PI) will describe the specific objectives of any operational duty, normally during a preoperationalbriefing. The objectives and operational duties may change during prescribed fire operations, and theContracting Officer-s Representative or Inspector will be the only designated person to communicate such changes. TheContractor shall provide all services, supervision, equipment, and supplies (except those specified as Governmentfurnished), transportation, and qualified personnel necessary to meet the contract specifications.
During the performance period, Contractor-s Burn Boss, hand crew module(s), engine(s) tender(s), and dozer withtransport shall be available to perform Prescribed Burn activities. The period during which work will be performed willbe dependent on burn windows and will be designated by the Government in a written call order(s). Notification that acall order will be placed will be at least 24 hours in advance of start work date.
