THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. A DETERMINATION NOT TO COMPETE THE PROPOSED PROCUREMENT BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE IS SOLELY WITHIN THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT.
The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) Contracting Office (Code 440), hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole-source, firm fixed service contract to Caterpillar. The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). A Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared. The period of performance shall be from approximately 8 May 2025 to 7 May 2026. With the following option years: Option Year I: 8 May 2026 - 7 May 2027 and Option Year 2: 8 May 2027 - 7 May 2028.
INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - A 3-part training program to include an online controls/operations program, a simulator basic to advance operator training program and an in-person hand on class to qualify operators for the emergency strike team.
Caterpillar is the only contractor who has the program and equipment to provide a 3 - Step program that meet all the need of the programs needs to train our strike team and they have the necessary equipment to and are able to provide certification upon completion.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) has been determined to be 611699 - All other Miscellaneous Schools and Instructions, with a small business size standard of $16,000,000.00. The Product Service Code for this acquisition is U099 - Education/Training Other. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; no solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 13 February 25 at 9:00 AM Pacific Time.
