NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (WSS), Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 has a refurbishment/repair requirement and intends to issue a solicitation to the sole source vendor for repair of QTY 32 EA, Oxygen Generator Cells EOG, NSN 4Y 3655 01-519-4445 using FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation, contracting procedures. Repair supports the TRIDENT Planned Equipment Replacement Program, (TRIPER) which supports Ohio Class submarines. DPAS Rating will be DX. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 335999 - All Other Miscellaneous Electrical Equipment and Component Manufacturing and the size standard is 600 employees.
The RMC code is 3R (Sole Source). Repair, for the second or subsequent time, directly from the actual manufacturer. The Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to purchase this part from additional sources. It has been determined to be uneconomical to buy the data or rights to the data. It is uneconomical to reverse engineer the part. This code is used when the Government did not initially purchase the data and/or rights. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
The solicitation will be made available to interested parties through electronic means approximately 15 days from this posting. The solicitation number is N00104-25-R-F009. The solicitation will be posted after the synopsis period has ended. The terms and conditions of Basic Ordering Agreement N00104-21-GVW01 shall apply to the resultant order from the solicitation.
