The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 15 Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 1901 FAR Part 13.106-1 (b) (2); Soliciting from a Single Source because they are unique services available from only one source Translogic (Swisslog Healthcare) 11325 Main ST Broomfield, Colorado 80020-2855, United States. Translogic (Swisslog Healthcare) will supply existing pneumatic tube system upgrading the Control Center to hospital issued Virtual Machine server, hardware shall be replaced with new PCB ITS and SD Cards and Version 8 software loaded. All parts, labor, and travel shall be included. This contract also provides updated system drawings to include floorplans and a mechanical riser diagram.This contract will be used to upgrade the pneumatic tube system used for transfer of medication and lab specimens within the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital (HSTMVH). Overlooking the importance of upgrading the pneumatic tube system can put the facility at risk for system downtime, delayed medication deliveries, slowed diagnoses from laboratory tests, distracted nursing staff and potential complete system failure. The place of performance is for the Department of Veterans Affairs Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia, MO.The NAICS code for these items is 339113 (Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing). This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract.
