NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE
This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized; no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

GSA Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) APEX 1 hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source delivery order to MEQU to provide the United States Army Program Management Office for Protection and Integration (PM-PI) with brand name supplies listed in the attached Bill of Materials (BOM).

This effort will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. This is being sole sourced to MEQU based on the fact that they are the only distributor of the required brand name MEQU equipment. Therefore, they are the only source capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. Purchase of these supplies from a source other than MEQU using commercial procedures would result in additional costs and potential schedule delays.

All responsible sources may submit a capability statement to the Contracting Officer(s) listed below which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed delivery order based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
