This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for quotes.The Department of Veterans Affairs Buffalo VAMC intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract to Name of Contractor:Dentsply SironaStreet Address:30-30-47th Ave., Suite 500City, State, Zip:Long Island City, NY 11101The objective of this action is the procurement for:The VA Medical Center is working to replace the current dental x-rays that have exceeded their useful life date. These units were originally installed in 2007 and reached their replacement date in 2017. Dental X-rays are used frequently in our facility in order to help diagnose issues such as tooth decay, bone loss, impacted teeth, or other conditions affecting the teeth or jaw. Downtime of these units can results in delayed Veteran care. Our facility has already purchased eight (8) X-ray units to be used in 12 rooms; however, due to construction changes, we will now require an additional four (4) x-ray units for a total of twelve (12) x-rays for twelve dental observatories. - Documents:
