INTRODUCTION:The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades construction project at the Grand Junction VAMC, located at 2121 North Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501.PROJECT DESCRIPTION:Contractor shall furnish labor and materials and perform work to modify existing TRs, Office ofInformation Technology (OIT) infrastructure, and fiber optic cabling, as required by drawingsand specifications. The scope of this project included the following infrastructure improvements:Electrical (electrical panel upgrade, power- normal and emergency), Bonding, UninterruptiblePower Supply (UPS), Building Management System (BAS) interfaces, assess for new andupgrades to existing HVAC, reconfiguration, expansion, and renovation of existing space(demo, new construction, finishes). Expand space in MFA (demo, finishes, cable management,relocate cabinets), communication infrastructure (new data outlets, patch panels, upgrade toCat 6A cable) in buildings as necessary, physical security upgrades, assess and upgrade fiberinfrastructure backbone campus wide within buildings and between buildings, install diversifiedpath to data center for Wide Area Network (WAN), hazardous material abatement.Project locations include buildings 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 20, 35, 36, 37, 39/44, 45 and site.ADMINISTRATIVE:The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation.
