STATEMENT OF WORKRotate System and Percussion/Vibration Module 35" APC, NP GURNEY PAD/ Foam Stretcher Pad NPT4 - Centrella Configuration and NPT4 Alternating Pump with MCM, NPT3.Background: The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery V.A. Medical Center is responding to the VA s National Patient Safety Alert# AL24-01, we performed the necessary inspections to ensure the mattresses meets VA patient safety guidelines. The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VAMC requires these replacement mattresses to be durable with the ability to remain waterproof and withstand harsh cleaning protocols, protecting against fluid ingress and reducing or eliminating cross-contamination risk. For replacing the Mattresses in the following areas: Acute Care- Med Surg, areas: 4C,4A-Norh, ICU, 1st and 2nd Floor CLC and the facility Stretchers. Objective: These four-teen Rotate System 35"x 80 with four-teen Percussion/Vibration Module, are being purchased to replace the current ICU Mattresses located on 2nd floor. The justification for the Mattress Recall is due to fluid Ingress related to the National Patient Safety Action Item Alert, AL#24-01.Rotate provides continuous lateral rotation therapy (CLRT) and immersion for pressure redistribution. The surfaces low air loss capability and high-tech fabric combine to help control patient microclimate and both surfaces feature a pulsation mode, which stimulates capillary blood flow to the skin.
