This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only as part of USDA ARS market research and does not itself constitute an RFQ.

The detailed specification of the measuring head includes:

Machine and all components are capable of running at full capacity on US 208 volts or below Mixer-Measuring head will be powered and heated electrically by a Brabender Metastation 4E, with safety controls for overload coupling, thermocouples (3) ram closure and air cooling kit. All parts and electrical attachments are to be specifically made to fit a Metastation 4E without modification to our machine. The blade to speed ratio will be 3:2 Temperature range will be up to 375C Torque range up to 160Nm Purchase will include a quick loading ram chute Set of Roller Blades made out of 304 stainless steel for use with removable blade mixer assemblies Mixer cleaning kit will include brass spatula, reconditioning tool, hand brush, brass brush - ¼” drill, a brass cleaning brush, and a knurled plastic knob.
This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of USDA ARS market research. The Government does not intend to make an award based on responses to this inquiry. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government.

Responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible.

All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.
