The scope of this project is for the planning through final design and construction to replace the Animal Research Facilities (ARF) chiller system located on the 9th Floor of Building 2 on the VA CT Healthcare System (VACHS) West Haven campus. These improvements are required to correct the negative environmental conditions being caused by failure of the existing chiller system. This project is to be contracted as a Design-Build service and shall include architectural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, construction and all such systems and components necessary to achieve the project goals presented in the attached scope of work.
The project includes design, demolition, and construction of a new chiller system for approximately 13,000 gross square feet. The new chiller system will utilize the existing rooftop dunnage, plumbing, and existing connections. - Documents:
