SPECIAL NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT.THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD.This Notice is to announce that the Department of Veteran Affairs, NCO 15 Consolidated Mail-OutPhamacy(CMOP), contracting office is proposing to negotiate a contract with KNAPP Inc., a large business on a sole source basis for the procurement of a A-Frame automated system dispensing channels used to dispense prepackaged pharmaceuticals under the authority of FAR 13.501(a). KNAPP Inc. is the manufacturer of the A-Frame system and is the only known vendor that the Government believes whom has the parts and the expertise to install them and satisfy the agency's requirement.Background:The Dallas CMOP will need to upgrade their current UUA aka A-Frame equipment to increase reliability as well as increase throughput.
