In response to recovery efforts after hurricanes Irma and Maria, and the Earthquake events, the US Department of Housing and Urban Development of the USA Community Development for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and the block subsidy program for Community Development for Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) with the purpose of addressing the recovery caused by long-term disasters. He was appointed by the Government of Puerto Rico as administrator of this allocation.
