Description:
Mecklenburg County, located in the State of North Carolina, is seeking Bids/Quotes from qualified vendors to provide/perform Adult Psychological Evaluations. At times, adults served by Services for Adults (SFA) through Adult Protective Services and Guardianship present with apparent cognitive deficits that may make it challenging for them to live independently or continue to thrive under their current level of care. Due to the nuances of cognition and factors such as fluctuations in daily functioning, it can be difficult to determine the adult's cognitive capacity using informal mechanisms such as screening tools and interviewing. Additionally, when there are concerns that an adult cannot safely meet their own social, environmental, economic, mental/emotional, daily living, and/or physical health needs due to possible cognitive impairment, it is important to arrive at a definitive finding expeditiously. However, there is often a lengthy wait for neuropsychological evaluations. During that wait time the adult's well-being may be at-risk. This project seeks to identify vendors who can conduct timely neuropsychological evaluations and consultations for SFA.
