It is the Government's intention to go sole source to Shield Technologies (CAGE 3Z9L5) for the procurement, production and delivery of the Aft Engine Bay Door Radome Cover, (P/N) 122056. There is an urgent readiness need for the procurement to meet capability needs. Shield Technologies is the only vendor who can provide this part in the time-frame required. The government does not own the drawings.
Market Research and Internet searches were conducted by the Government-s technical team to determine if any other vendor could satisfy the U.S. Navy-s requirements. The Federal Procurement Data System, Dynamic Small Business Search, and Google Internet search engines were queried for potential sources without success. Results indicated that Shield Technologies is the only known source capable of meeting the Government-s required time-frame. - Documents:
