The National Park Service (NPS) seeks a contractor to provide annual roundtrip barge services between Kalaupapa National Historical Park (KALA), Molokai, Hawaii, and Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii. The service is critical for transporting supplies, equipment, and waste materials to and from KALA, a remote location with no regular barge service. The contractor must provide a vessel with side-loading capability, suitable for navigating Kalaupapa¿s narrow and shallow harbor, and comply with environmental, safety, and operational requirements. The contract will be a firm fixed-price (FFP) contract with a base year and three one-year options, with performance typically scheduled for July or August, contingent on weather and mutual agreement.
