STATE OF VERMONTDepartment of Buildings & General ServicesREQUEST FOR PROPOSALSANR - Forests, Parks and RecreationKill Kare State Park Entrance Road ImprovementsINVITATION TO BIDDEPARTMENT OF BUILDINGS AND GENERAL SERVICESSTATE OF VERMONTContractors are invited to bid on the Kill Kare State Park Entrance Road Improvements Project for Buildings andGeneral Services on behalf of the Agency of Natural Resources - Forests, Parks and Recreation at 2714 HathawayRoad in St. Albans Town, Vermont.This project consists of, but is not limited to:Roadway/parking area improvements, and ditching/drainage improvements. Full depth reclamation to a depthof 8” is proposed in the designated areas, followed by placement of 2” of Type IIS base course and 1-1/2”Type IIIS top course of bituminous pavement. Ditching/drainage improvements will consist of deepening andeither stone lining (5% slopes) or grass lining with erosion control blanket placement (5% slopes), and/orremoval of shoulder berms preventing proper drainage, in locations as indicated on the drawings. threeculverts will be replaced as part of this project. the existing deteriorated asphalt parking area for the ferryaccess will be reclaimed to a finished gravel surface regraded to promote sheet flow. all work shall beconducted in accordance with vaot 2024 standard specifications for construction.sealed bids accompanied by proper bid security shall be emailed to the department of buildings and generalservices, at bgs.vtbids@vermont.gov,...
