This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6-Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
This procurement is being solicited as 100% small business set aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 335999; the Small Business Size Standard is 600 employees. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Type purchase order for the following Anritsu brand name only, no substitutions allowed basis.

The Anritsu Laser Diode is required to confirm continuation of acceptable optical communication test solutions within a pre-deployed system and continuity within the same testing platform currently in use. Anritsu parts make up 62% of the analyzing system and they are integral to the research and development applications of the team. If another brand of laser diodes were to be used, it could lead to incorrect test data that would lead to a significant amount of labor and materials being wasted.
