NOTICE TO CONTRACTORSPlanning & Community Development Demolition of Buildings The City of Joplin is receiving sealed bid for the asbestos removal of the following address(s):405 W. 2 nd Street/ 126 S. Pearl Ave; one structure1809 E. 32 nd Street1501 E. Hill Street1109 S. Moffet Ave Bids must be in the hands of the Planning & Community Development Department on or before 10:00 A.M. on Friday, September 5, 2025 in the office of the Building Department, Joplin, 602 S. Main Street, 4th Floor, Joplin, MO. Notice is hereby given that the Planning & Community Development of the City of Joplin, Missouri, will receive a sealed bid to make the following improvements in the City of Joplin, Missouri. The winning bidder must comply with all municipal codes and state regulatory requirements including but not limited to:Notify the City of Joplin building division of the date of the abatement. Asbestos Abatement contractors are responsible for the removal and proper disposal of all identified asbestos materials as specified in the attached report. Please have a landfill address or GPS as well as BOL or Bill of Lading upon request.Further specifications are on file in the office of the Planning & Community Development Manager, 602 S. Main Street 4th Floor. The successful bidder will be required to be licensed, Bonded and insured as a contractor of the City of Joplin, Missouri. The Planning & Community Development Manager reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept the lowest or best bid.
