The Department of Veterans Affairs, Networking Contracting Office (NCO 01) located in Brockton, MA intends to enter into a sole source procurement, pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1, with Russeletric, for the following requirement:1.0 Scope of WorkThe contractor will perform annual Automatic Transfer Switch testing and imaging at the Boston Healthcare System, Brockton Division located at 940 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA.Contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, tools and special equipment required to perform the work.All Transfer Switch Testing shall occur during off hours (10:00 PM 7:00 AM)Period of Performance: one base year plus 4 option years2.0 Performance RequirementsPer the O&M Manuals, the following maintenance is recommended to be performed, based on equipment type:Vacuum switch interior to remove dirt or dust deposits. Wipe all bus bars, insulators, cables, etc with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth.Inspect the switch interior carefully for moisture, condensation build-up, or signs of any previous wetness. Moisture can cause insulation breakdown and rapid oxidation of current carrying parts. Inspect all conduit entrances and cracks between the enclosure panels for dripping leaks. Condensation in conduits may be a source of moisture and must not be allowed to drip onto live parts or insulating material. Take the necessary steps to eliminate the moisture and seal off all leaks.Inspect the switch for any signs of overheating. Discoloration and flaking of insulation or metal parts are indications of overheating.Check for signs of rodent nesting in the enclosure. If required, use a good exterminating technique in the general area of the equipment.Carefully inspect all devices for any visibly worn-out, cracked, or missing parts.Open and close contacts several times to verify they are working properly.Verify that all key interlocks and door interlocking provisions are working properly.Check all bus bar joints and terminal lugs for any... - Documents:
