1. Introduction/Purpose
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has an Aviation Weather Technical and Engineering Support Services requirement as outlined in the attached Draft Statement of Work (SOW) for the William J. Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City, NJ. This requirement is anticipated to be an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ), time and materials (T&M) procurement for a period of 5 years (one (1) year base period and four (4) 1-year periods thereafter). Support services are estimated to commence in Fall 2026. The purpose of this market survey announcement is to solicit capability statements from interested companies.
2. Incumbent Contractor (if applicable)
The incumbent contractor is Basic Commerce and Industries, Inc. (BCI) of Morristown, NJ, and the current contract number is 692M15-22-D-00003.
3. Nature of Competition
The acquisition strategy for this procurement has not been determined. The results of this market survey will be used as a determining factor in deciding on the level of competition.
Please note that based on the FAA-s Acquisition Management System Policy at 3.2.1.2.3, the use of agency wide contract/procurement vehicles must be used to the maximum extent possible. The responses to this announcement will be used as a determining factor regarding whether the use of an existing agency contract/procurement vehicle is appropriate.
Potential sources are cautioned that no further announcement may be made if an existing agency wide contract/procurement vehicle is utilized for this requirement.
