This is a Pre-solicitation Notice of a proposed contract action in accordance with FAR 5.201. The United States Air Force Life Cycle Management Center intends to award a sole source contract to CAE USA for E-3 Sentry Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), Reliability, Availability, Growth, and Obsolescence Now (DRAGON). Contract requirements for the continuation of sustainment, modernization, and support of Air Combat Command (ACC) training systems in the contiguous United States (CONUS) to include: Training System Support Center (TSSC), Contractor Logistics Support (CLS), Cybersecurity, and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP). The sustainment services will run concurrently while training system development concludes until the government accepts the devices.
The proposed contract will be awarded using Other than Full and Open Competition procedures citing the authority at 10 USC 3204(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.”
This notice of contract action does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB) or a Request for Proposals (RFP) nor does it restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice, nor will it reimburse firms for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. - Documents:
