- The Boone County Attorneys Office is located in a former 1830s era inn. It is located in a historic district but is not on the historic register. The County wished to supplement the operational security of the building by installing ballistic shades on the first-floor windows in the main portion of the building. Due to the nature of the large windows (78\"h x 48\"w), the desire is to have the ballistic shades occupy the lower half of the widows and a commercial shade installed by Boone County staff on the upper half.
