This item is being procured under the Statutory Authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) - Available from only one or a limited number of sources, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Other Than Full and Open Competition - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Product Identification Description (PID) of NSN 2640-016126934 lists only one approved source, which is Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Hutchinson Industries, CAGE code 62161.
The objective of this procurement is to place the item in a firm fixed price, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQC) long-term contract (LTC) of a maximum of (3) years, divided into a base period of one-year (1-year) and two option periods of one (1) one-year. Option years are to be opted at the discretion of the Government. The total duration of the contract shall not exceed three (3) years. The Government will solicit the acquisition under FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) Part 12,Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services. Certified Cost and Pricing Data is not required. The scope of the procurement is limited to the one item listed in Section B of the solicitation. The Government does not intend to bundle this item.
