Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8, hereby announces its intent to award a sole-source, firm-fixed contract to Melling Medical for procuring the Bertec CDP/IVR Upgrades. This contract is designated for the Logistic Service at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, situated at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33612.The anticipated award is in compliance with FAR 13.106.1(b), which permits sole source contracts when only one source can supply the required supplies or services at the necessary quality level due to their unique or highly specialized nature. The contract falls under the firm-fixed-price category according to NAICS Code 339112, with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. A Sole Source Justification has been duly prepared. The contract's base performance period is from March 1, 2025, to March 31, 2025. This announcement does not solicit competitive proposals or offers; no solicitation package will be provided. The decision not to engage in competitive procurement rests solely with the Government. Any responses to this notice should present clear and convincing evidence that competition would benefit the Government. Additionally, responsible sources are invited to submit a capabilities statement demonstrating, by a preponderance of the evidence, that another contractor can fulfill a service contract for the Bertec CDP/IVR Upgrades at the James A.
