If a proposal abstract was submitted at/near the deadline and favorably received, the follow-on full proposal could be submitted in response to the new solicitation. For this reason, we still *STRONGLY* encourage submitting a proposal abstract and awaiting feedback prior to the submission of a full proposal, even as the deadline nears. This announcement seeks revolutionary research ideas for topics not being addressed by ongoing BTO programs or other published solicitations.The purpose of Amendment 1 to HR001123S0045, Biological Technologies, the Biological Technologies Office-s Office-Wide Broad Agency Announcement, is to introduce an accelerated award option, define the classified submissions process, announce the use of Special Notices (SNs) for targeted studies, and clarify the eligibility of Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs) and University-Affiliated Research Centers (UARCs).
