- The Texas General Land Office (“GLO”) seeks a highly skilledcontractor for coastal construction services for the construction of approximately8,836 Linear Feet (LF) of rock breakwater to protect and enhance estuarinehabitat within Bird Island Cove located within Galveston Bay at the mouth ofOstermayer Bayou, in Galveston County, Texas (the “Project”).The project goal is to protect and enhance the existing estuarine habitats. If aflotation channel is needed for construction, the dredge material would bebeneficially used to create marsh mounds providing additional habitat.
