Notice of Intent to Sole-Source: The 341st Contracting Squadron intends to award on a sole-source basis a contract to Gebhardt Post Plant & Sawmill to support the Malmstrom Air Force Base Central Heat Plant. The requirement is for the purchase of Bituminous Stoker Coal. Market research has demonstrated that Gebhardt Post Plant & Sawmill is the only local entity able to meet the exact specifications and delivery requirements.
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and a solicitation will not be issued. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that the competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. If no affirmative written response is received, the award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
