NOTICE of INTENT to SOLE SOURCE
Commander, Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Procurement Group, Patuxent River, MD, hereby gives notice of intent to award a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to DEMATIC CORP (Cage Code: 4FE76), on a sole source basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The BPA will be subject to FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services and have a five (5) year Ordering Period.
COMFRC has requirements for as needed preventative maintenance and repair services of Government owned DEMATIC Material Handling Equipment located at FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHEAST (FRCSE) located in Jacksonville, FL and FLEET READINESS CENTER EAST (FRCE) located in Cherry Point NC. As the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) with proprietary data rights, DEMATIC is the only known source for the required preventative maintenance and repair services.
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within five (5) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be reviewed. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement for these services. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received because of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
