Description:
The Boston Public Library is seeking proposals for investigation and design of a comprehensive service program for the Central Library informed by the library's mission and the identified needs of the staff, patrons, and collections. This planning effort will advise future public service, design, and operational decisions as the BPL moves toward an ambitious renovation of the historic McKim building. Deliverables include a user experience plan for the Central Library, collection management criteria, public service strategy, and recommended space allocations. Mandatory walkthrough at 1:00 P.M., Boston Time, on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Copley Branch of the Boston Public Library, 230 Dartmouth Street, Boston, MA 02116. Please come in through the McKim Building entrance and sign in at the security desk where the Manager will meet you.
