Description
This is a pre-solicitation notice. This is NOT a solicitation. Do NOT submit proposal or questions in response to this notice. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Norfolk District (NAO) intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) acquisition for the roof repair of Building 32 at DSCR Richmond, VA. This procurement will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14, Invitation for Bid.
The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. The requirement will be solicitation as a 100% 8(a) Small Business set-aside. The applicable NAICS code is 236220, Commerical and Institutional Building Construction with a Business Size Standard of $45M. Product Service code of Z2EZ - Repair ro Alteration of Other Industrial Buildings.

In accordance with FAR 36.204(g) disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects, the magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
Project Description: Provide labor, material and equipment to perform the following: USACE NAO is seeking 8(a) small businesses capable of the complete removal and replacement of the existing 170,430 SF roof and Building 32 (bays FM) with a new in-kind Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer (EPDM) roof. The removal and in-kind replacement include downspouts, roof drain, expansion joints, covers, flashing, walkway pads and associated roof components. The exisitng skylights will be removed and blocked off with a new roof. Non-roof componenets are also included, these are the removal and in-kind replacement of piping penetrations, conduits, equipment curbs, ladders, and security covers. The existing equipment will remain or will be removed, stored and re-installed. The exisiting equipment includes the mechanical and static ventilators, mini split condensing units and controls.
