- The Texas State History Museum (TSHM) desires to improve, migrate, and re-design the TSHM website in an open source Content Management System (CMS) that fulfills our stakeholders- needs — Educators and Students, Visitors and Tourists, Members, Families, and New and Returning IMAX Visitors; meets our goals; provides a historic and educational experience; is sustainable and accessible; and represents the Museum-s mission. The chosen vendor shall design, build, test and deploy the new website, and provide ongoing support for the website. The vendor is responsible for securing hosting with at least 99% uptime, security, backups, and updates. The site should be scalable and able to accommodate additional pages. The software framework and CMS should follow industry security standards and receive upgrades for the life of the contract between vendor and TSHM.The website will include static pages, interactive website components, a dynamic calendar and exhibits overview pages, and integrate with our Point of Sale (POS)/Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and Collection Management System (CMS).TheStoryofTexas.com is often the first interaction a person will have with the Bullock Museum, therefore, the website needs to be informative, clear, easy to use, and accessible for all of our website visitors.
