THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY.
This RFI, as outlined in FAR 15.201(c)(7), is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Office of Acquisition Management Services (OAMS) is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party-s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, if any is issued.
1. Description
The Medicare Modernization Act of 2003 created the Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals (OMHA) to simplify the appeals process and make it more efficient. OMHA's Administrative Law Judges (ALJ) hold hearings and issue decisions related to Medicare claim denials that reach Level 3 of the Medicare appeals process.
2. Scope of Work
The contractor will provide consulting services to:
Identify and document business and technical needs. Assess capabilities and gaps. Develop mitigation strategies. Prepare an AoA Study Plan and execute the AoA. Recommend the most suitable alternative through a final report. Develop an implementation strategy and notional schedule.
3. Responses
