• The Bureau of Reclamation, Interior Region 8: Lower Colorado Basin (LCB) is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a firm fixed-price contract for the 150-ton cableway crane at the Hoover Dam that needs to be refurbished. The Bureau of Reclamation, Interior Region 8: Lower Colorado Basin has a requirement for the 150-ton cableway crane at the Hoover Dam that needs to be refurbished. The ground to the middle of the track cables is approximately 600 feet. When work is being completed on the NV tower, the ground is approximately 100 feet below. The track cables spans from the AZ anchorage to behind the NV tower. The length of the track cable is 1,615¿, most of which is above the canyon. The principal components of work include: 1. Replace the 6, 3-½" track cables.2. Replace the 2, 1-1/8" button line cables and button line tensioners3. Refurbish the existing carriage4. Install the already fabricated slack carrier5. Replace sheaves6. Lubricate all wire ropes7. Lubricate the hoist house mechanical components and tower sheaves8. Retension the track cables9. Replace the hydraulic hand pump and lines on the NV side tensioning system10. Load test the cableway crane11. Perform an annual inspection and certify the craneThis procurement action is being solicited as full and open competition/unrestricted and a subcontracting plan will be required for other than small businesses.The NAICS code for this requirement is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The small business size standard is $45 million.This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation, FAR Part 36, Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts.This work involves performing work as defined in the Statement of Work that will be provided when solicitation is issued.
