NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: IAW FAR 5.101 this notice is to advise the public that The National Institutes of Health, NIH Division of Occupational Health and Safety (DOHS) intends to award a sole source, Firm-Fixed-Price Contract to TSI, Inc, 500 Cardigan Road, Shoreview, MN 55126. The period of performance will be for 3 years, which shall be a base year plus two twelve month option years starting on or about March 15, 2024.
The vendor will provide calibration and repair service for approximately 130 pieces of TSI and TSI-Quest industrial hygiene and exposure monitoring equipment. Service is typically required on an annual basis. The vendor will provide calibration service that meets or exceeds accuracy standards traceable to the National Institutes for Standards and Technology (NIST)-standards. The vendor will replace consumable items, such as o-rings, mesh filters, and similar parts, in the equipment and inspect and clean serviceable parts. The vendor will provide a report detailing the results of each service, noting the overall status of the instrument performance (Pass or Fail, or other), and detailed information regarding the test parameters, test equipment used, and any deviations from the required performance. The service report will note the steps taken to service the equipment, including any cleaning, replacement of parts, or equipment firmware updates.
When repairs are required, the vendor will provide suitable parts approved by TSI or TSI-Quest and repairs will be completed by technically qualified personnel.
TSI, Inc., the manufacturer of TSI and Quest equipment, providing the full range and thorough calibration services. Services include replacement of consumable unique TSI and TSI-Quest parts. TSI identifies and replaces parts, in some parts that only the manufacturer can determine are defective. Third-party vendors do not provide this comprehensive level of service.
