- Description : The ¿Scope of Work¿ as defined herein is for Campus-Wide Pressure Washing & Disinfecting Cooling Towers Services. ¿Campus-Wide¿, for this RFP, includes the University locations identified below. Services will be provided to San Diego State University (¿SDSU¿) Campuses which include Main Campus and Imperial Valley Campuses (¿IVC¿ and ¿Calexico¿).¿ Main Campus Address: 5500 Campanile Dr, San Diego, CA 92182¿ Calexico Campus Address: 720 Heber Ave, Calexico, CA 92231SDSU operates three (3) chilled water plants and one (1) cogeneration plant across its campus, including the Main Chill Plant (¿MCP¿) and two (2) satellite chill plants (FAC/Fowler Athletic Center and Lamden Hall/EBA). SDSU also operates two (2) chill plants at Cuicacalli Resident Hall, two (2) chill plants at South Campus Plaza, one (1) chill plant at Chapultepec Resident Hall, and one (1) chill plant at IVC. Each of these plants is equipped with multiple cooling towers. SDSU is seeking a qualified contractor to provide annual disinfection and pressure wash/cleaning services for all cooling towers across the campus over a five (5)-year contract period. This cleaning and disinfection service will ensure the continued efficient operation of the cooling towers while minimizing the risk of biological contamination, including Legionella.
