- The Texas Capitol Grounds sidewalk and Museum Plaza sealant was installed in 1997 with some select sealant repairs and replacement in different areas over the last twenty-seven years. The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum Plaza and Sidewalks polyurethane and silicone sealant was installed in 2000 and has had some sealant joints repaired or replaced over the last twenty-four years. Polyurethane horizontal flatwork joints and silicone joints at both sites are all exhibiting varying degrees of fatigue and failure due to excessive traffic, exposure to the elements, and improper installation.This Project aims to remove, clean, prep, and properly install new sealant joints in all locations as indicated in the provided drawings.
