Description : The California Conservation Corps is a work ethic program with a dual mission: the employment and development of young people, and the conservation and enhancement of the state's natural resources. The On-Site Counseling Program is a component of a comprehensive Corpsmember development program which includes programs in work learn, literacy, career development, conservation awareness, community activism and basic education. The On-Site Counseling program began in May of 1990. These counseling services are an effort to assist Corpsmembers, who are age 18-25, in exploring how they can contribute to their personal development.
