THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE SERVICE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA), Healthcare Contracting Division - West, San Diego, intends to negotiate and award a firm-fixed-price contract to Cepheid to provide all services, materials and equipment necessary for the repair/preventive maintenance of the Government-owned Cepheid GeneXpert SN 842173 and the following components-SBRE Hand Scanner SN 10566601, Cepheid GX Global M70s SFF with peripheral computer SN CPH 22F34755 and computer monitor to ensure dependable and reliable equipment operation for Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD), in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1), only one source being available to meet the Government-s needs, to:
