The meeting is open to the public and available by Zoom telephone conference. The Commission was established in 1973 to administer the Act (16.43.010). The stated purpose of the Act is to promote the conservation and sustained yield management of Alaska-s fishery resources. Additionally, the Act seeks to uphold the economic health and stability of the commercial fishing industry in Alaska. The CFEC will conduct a public meeting under the Open Meetings Act (AS 44.62.310) on March 26, 2025, at 10:00 am.
