The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD intends to award a commercial item contract to CFM International (CFM), located in Ohio, on an other than full and open competition basis, for the procurement of approximately eight (8) sets of new production CFM56-7B27AE Stage 4 - Stage 9 Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) Erosion Coated High Pressure Compressor (HPC) Blades, with each set consisting of the following part numbers: P394P09, P394P10, P394P11, P394P12, P395P09, P395P10, P395P11, P395P12, P396P09, P396P10, P396P11, P396P12, P397P09, P397P10, P397P11, P397P12, P398P09, P398P10, P398P11, P398P12, P399P09, P399P10, P399P11, P399P12 with a planned award date of June 2025 and all deliveries to be completed within 1 year of award.
The effort shall be procured pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.” CFM is the only source with the requisite knowledge, experience, technical expertise, and technical data necessary to furnish the contemplated supplies and services in a timely manner.
