This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This acquisition will be made in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 “Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and solicitation for commercial Items,” as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation (a written solicitation will not be issued) and quotes are being requested. The Solicitation number is RFQ-NIAID-25-2247161 and the solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ).

Project Description:
The NIH, NIAID, Vaccine Research Center (VRC), Vaccine Production Program (VPP), has a current requirement for brand-name Piccolo Express Chemistry Analyzers. These analyzers are needed for the post discharge study in the L9LS clinical trials which are being run in Kenya. It is only important to ensure that the Piccolo Xpress instrument, which are considered simple and low-risk, and are regulated by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). Very importantly, the new instruments must match current instruments used to perform on earlier study. Due to continuity protocols, as well as compatibility, the requested analyzer brand is required.
