NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE SOLE SOURCE AWARD
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Indian Health Service (IHS), Bemidji Area intends to award a Firm Fixed Priced Contract on a sole source basis to Roche, for the White Earth Health Center in Ogema MN. The anticipated period of performance will be for a base plus 1 option year.
The sole source action will be issued under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a) - only one source reasonably available due to its proprietary nature, Roche is the only vendor that can provide reagents, consumables and services for the Roche Integra and e411 which is what White Earth currently has. No other vendor can provide these supplies. Any reagents, consumables or service provided outside of Roche would result in analyzer malfunction and void any future service agreements.
